Job Description

Your role will be to oversee and manage internal financial and project administration (legal/insurance etc.) processes and to ensure company's productions successfully, in line with our internal procedures.
This is a part-time role (3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project financial set up to allow tracking and control.
  • Working together with the Manager of the contract to prepare the project budget and make clear the financial performance of the contract compared to the budget and the forecast, updating when new information is received.
  • Over sighting project financial tracking (‘actuals’) for accuracy and consistency (reviewing and supporting project cash flows as owned by Producers), communicating any variances and proposing corrective actions to help achieve the Budget.
  • Finalize project revenue and billing, manage and process invoices receivable in accordance with agreed client payment schedules.
  • Handle invoices payable from end-to-end, through approval process and ensuring correct project tracking is applied.
  • Managing weekly pay runs of bills.
  • Assist the accounts team with expense reconciliation for accurate project tracking (Pleo, Xero).
  • Produce monthly financial reports, participate in and provide input as required at management account meetings.
  • Ensure suppliers’ compliance with company financial and legal policies at procurement stage.
  • Provide contract administration support to project Producers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 5+ years experience in a similar financial role.
  • Financial education to degree level and/or accreditation such as AAT.
  • Professional financial qualifications such as ACCA / CIMA is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project control practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a high level of written English and IT literacy.
  • Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting software is highly beneficial.
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Financial modelling experience is also highly beneficial.
  • Interest and experience in live productions or film is preferred but not essential if you have relevant experience.
