Job Description

You will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing the accounts function, producing consolidated monthly reports
• Balance sheet and cash flow commentary for the Trust
• Completion and submission of ESFA returns
• Production of annual statutory accounts
• Presenting financial information to the Board and Committee Members
• Relationship building with external stakeholders
• Overseeing a combined budget of £8.7M
• Leading a team of two staff
• Xero Financials

There is the opportunity to work from home one day a week with the potential to increase to two days after completion of a successful probation period.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

On a personal note, you will be a fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or CIPFA, with previous experience of working within a multi Academy Trust or school setting, and will possess a good understanding of the ESFA returns completion process. You will have the charisma to influence stakeholders across the board and the gravitas in presenting financial information effectively.
