Job Description
To provide assistance to the Financial and Resources Manager (FRM) in ensuring effective financial control, governance, legislative and SLA compliance of all back-office functions of the organization, servicing the directors and producing financial reports and insights as required
Main Tasks
- Provide the principal source of financial input and responsibility to deliver effective reporting to ensure financial performance is managed
- Assists in the delivery of insightful analysis that provides Safer Places with opportunities to focus efforts and resources on growth and contract delivery
- Assists in budgetary management and the production of management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee the production of reports on Housing Benefit and rent income projection reports
- Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of Safer Places
- Manage new and on-going relationships with suppliers
- Oversee the production, monitoring and validate monthly payroll and ensure all taxes are paid on a timely basis.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory and non-statutory returns
- Maintain and coordinate internal filing of company information
- Work closely with the Finance and Resources Manager and Director Of Business to monitor the organizational performance against business objectives and targets; assist in preparing regular reports for the Board and Committees
- Contribute to the formulation and dissemination of annual plans, monitor their implementation and make appropriate changes within areas of responsibility
- Ensure that KPI’s are met.
- Work closely with the Business Services / Resources Teams (Facilities, IT, Contracts,
- Partnerships) on behalf of the Director of Business Services to monitor the organizational performance against business objectives and targets
- Ensure regular reports are produced for all areas for the Board and Committees
- Assume financial responsibility in the absence of the Finance and Resources Manager.
- The role holder will be expected to perform any other duties that may reasonably be asked of them.
- The role holder will be able to work within the Safeguarding arena following organization policies and procedures, be able to Recognize; Respond to; Report and Record
- Safeguarding issues and understand and make quality Safeguarding Referrals.
- Comply with data protection legislation, information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.
