Job Description

This role will entail delivering the highest levels of service to clients by providing secretarial and administrative support to a min of two lawyers, joining a busy and successful Private Client department which holds admirable status.

  • Open and close client files consistent with standard procedures including performing online money laundering checks, and assisting with any manual money laundering and risk management checks
  • Answer the telephone and assist clients with enquiries when the lawyer is not available
  • Maintain lawyers’ diaries and make appointments
  • Organize internal and external meetings including meeting room bookings and refreshment
  • Manage outgoing post and emails and undertake typing for lawyers
  • Maintain internal and client files to ensure they are up-to-date at all times
  • Drafting of standard letters and forms for the lawyer’s approval
  • Work as part of a team, assisting with wider secretarial and telephone cover as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Administrative experience ideally in legal
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Literacy in relevant software packages
  • Organization skills including the ability to priorities work
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good time keeping
  • Experience in private client is preferred
  • Ideally have some experience within law, e.g. LLB/GDL/LPC.
