Job Description

You will be required to complete Bookkeeping and admin tasks for a range of SME businesses using industry leading tools.

Responsibility:

  • Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
  • Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded
  • Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
  • Preparing trial balances
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Onboarding and off boarding of clients
  • Raising client letters of engagement
  • Updating Iris and managing ad-hoc tasks for the team
  • Scanning and filling post

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced use of Xero (essential)
  • Xero certification (essential)
  • Experience with cloud-based software (essential)
  • 2 years + experience in a practice bookkeeping environment (essential)
  • Experience using Iris (desirable)
  • AAT Level 4 qualified (desirable)
  • Experience in dealing with the admin function of an Accountancy Practice, especially dealing with HMRC and Companies House (desirable)
  • Must be highly organized, proactive and a self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
