Responsible for the development and implementation of efficient category management for capital sourcing initiatives of Systems and instruments| and machine parts and maintenance
Creating maintenance plans and service contracts for our global equipment inventory to reduce repair costs and down time
Understanding the business needs via business partnering, market analysis, supply chain cost modelling, strategy selection, sourcing, award and contract management
Initiating and delivering tenders, negotiations, contractual frameworks, suppliers performance reviews based on KPI´s
Actively managing capital sourcing including risk management to ensure the delivery of the right product, at the right cost, at the right time while maintaining overall project timelines
Developing strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, identifying new sources and managing the existing supplier base including supplier evaluations
Closely collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders
Acting as a project manager and operating as a valued member on cross-functional teams
Prioritizing in a fast-paced environment while meeting timelines and budgets
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business studies or equivalent or CIPS qualification
Extensive experience in Category | Commodity Management with a strong focus on buildings, machinery and equipment
Very good understanding of the financial aspects of capital expenditures: ROI, NPV cash flow and total cost of ownership
Strong negotiation skills and experience in developing complex commercial and legal agreements
User experience in SAP is a plus
Understanding of process engineering, design and build of equipment and facility construction
Excellent communication and presentation skills matched with strong business acumen with a global mind-set
Enthusiastic and able to learn quickly as well as being proactive and detail-oriented
