Job Description

You will have the opportunity to use your skills in a varied and hands on position whilst using your commercial acumen to identify opportunities to improve on operational activity that impacts the finance department.

You will be:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and reports
  • Responsible for the finance management of year end reporting and effective control of both accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Overview of the monthly management reports including profit and loss account, balance sheet and providing detailed analytical commentary to demonstrate an appropriate business understanding.
  • Control budgets with production of periodic reports to budget holders during financial year
  • Prepare and present the finance schedules and forecast
  • Maintain the financial ledgers and accounting processes and ensure that appropriate financial controls are adhere to
  • Ensure that appropriate finance and support systems are implemented and maintained in line with finance manuals
  • Review the month-end general ledger reconciliations
  • Oversee the monthly payroll adjustments the submission and processing of the monthly payroll
  • Administer group pension scheme, including reporting to the pension regulator
  • Preparation of information for annual accounts and audit file
  • Being the point of contact for auditors
  • Preform return to work interviews
  • Unpaid staff holidays, sickness and absences
  • Undertake regular performance appraisals, 1-1’s with your team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience of working in a similar role and looking for your next challenge
  • ACA/ ACCA / CIMA
  • Exceptional IT skills particularly Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Experience with leading a team
