Job Description
The successful individual needs to have recent Management Accounts experience and a proven track record in constructing budgets, budget management, delivering analysis of accounts and finance related projects. This role would suit a strong communicator with natural people and analytical skills.
You will give a Finance professional the platform to perform an important role within the Society and develop professionally.
Management accounts
- Deliver accurate and timely month end accounts result, working with Finance teams to ensure items correctly posted and analyzed, supported by incisive commentary.
- Develop and deliver monthly board reporting of financial performance and cost analysis
- Deliver monthly costs analysis to budget holders, with commentary and analysis
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Construct and deliver annual budgeting process and periodic re forecasting process, encompassing all elements of profit and loss, balance sheet and capital positions
- Working alongside Commercial Finance team, as well as engagement with sales and product departments to construct mortgage and savings financial plans
- Supporting Head of Commercial Finance & Treasury to deliver Board-quality document and analysis.
- Work with Budget holders to understand their operating cost base, drivers and budget variances.
Cost champion
- Provide Society-wide analysis of current and future expenditure.
- Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Champion cost disciplines, providing analysis, advice, support and challenge to budget holders across the Society.
- Develop more granular and routine cost reporting, including analyzing supplier spend.
- Undertake periodic bench marking against other Societies.
Management support
- Provide ad-hoc support to Commercial Finance team on projects as requested.
- Provide related advice and support to the Head of Commercial Finance.

This is a permanent, full time role; hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday totaling 35 hours per week.
