The role holder will support the DIAL Administrator to carry out a broad and extensive range of administrative support functions for all DIAL personnel, thereby maintaining and enhancing research and industrial outreach activities. Typical responsibilities the Administrative Assistant will hold include providing research administration, organizing events and activities for internal and external contacts such as workshops and conferences, assisting the Administrator with internal research funding duties and providing secretarial/clerical support. In addition, you will also provide general administrative support to the Boeing Research Framework programme.
The successful candidate will be educated to at least HND/HNC level / Level 4/5 with experience in a fast-paced administrative role. You will have excellent IT and organizational skills, including experience of research coordination. You will possess the ability to manage and priorities a diverse range of activities, and have the ability to understand, interpret, manage and design administrative processes, ideally within a university environment and involving research and/or research administration.
The ability to work as part of a team and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are also essential attributes for this role. Experience of marketing or website content management would be advantageous.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
