Payroll Assistant

Job Description
  • Processing monthly end to end payroll.
  • Check, control and maintain amendments to employee pay and IME (International Mobile Employees).
  • Calculate and prepare international salary, tax and pension payments.
  • Reconcile and provide returns and associated payments to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of specific controls and control documentation for line management.
  • Support employees with payroll related queries.
  • Ability to deal with high volume queries across all levels in the company, demonstrating great customer care at all times.
  • Carry out ad hoc requests as required in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Liaise with our third party payroll provider.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous experience of managing large payrolls with differing levels of complexity.
  • Knowledge of Tax & NI rules for UK & IMEs (International mobile employees).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work quickly & accurately under pressures to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the organization and externally.
  • Adaptable and able to quickly react to changing priorities.
  • Formal qualification preferable but more important is the ability to understand how to calculate pay.
  • Great organizational skills – prioritizing your workload and working independently, whilst also being a brilliant team player.
  • Experience working with managed payroll provider.
  • Payroll for overseas employees.
  • Experience within HR.
  • General ledger reconciliation experience.
