Job Description

By liaising with external tax advisors, tax authorities and work closely with both the US tax team and Cooper Surgical finance team, you’ll be responsible for corporate tax within all regions outside the United States for Cooper Surgical

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Manage/prepare the quarterly tax reporting for the region using the group’s quarterly Tax Information Packs;
  • Manage/assist in the process for preparation of annual tax computations for those countries within the region;
  • Ensure compliance with current taxation and statutory legislation for all countries in the region, including meeting requirements in relation to Country By Country Reporting and MDR reporting;
  • Review of technical updates to identify tax changes applicable to the group;
  • Assistance in annual transfer pricing evaluation and global trading policy review for all countries within the region to include the management of any transfer pricing enquiries raised by local tax authorities;
  • Preparation/review of monthly/quarterly transfer pricing true-up calculations;
  • Assistance in preparation of the Corporate Interest Restriction Return for the group;
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is in place to support the annual senior accounting officer requirements for the Cooper Surgical UK entities;
  • Assistance in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK entities and assist with the annual audit reviews;
  • To perform any other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 2 years post qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) or Tax Professional (CTA, ATT) we’ll be expecting someone to have broad technical tax and accounting expertise, including working knowledge of US GAAP & SOX. A working knowledge of compliance with tax in a number of countries within the region. Working knowledge of global trading structures and intra-group trading practices. A high level of numerical and reasoning ability. A high level of computer literacy is required. Ability to participate in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating environment.
