Provide appropriate support to the Finance Manager and the company directors
Posting purchase ledger invoices, employee expenses and financial transactions within the organisation
Raising sales invoices on monthly basis in Sage line 50, reconciliation of debtors and preparation of debtors list, credit control and preparation of credit control report on weekly basis
Updating cash flow forecast spreadsheet, processing bank receipts and supplier payments, processing bank transactions and bank account reconciliations
Reconciliation of creditors and preparation of creditors schedules on monthly basis, supplier statement reconciliation
Preparation and process of payroll on a Monthly basis, maintenance of personnel records and company pension scheme
Assisting in the preparation of VAT return and EC sales list on a quarterly basis and submission to HMRC
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for a Finance Assistant who has ambition, and wants to be rewarded for their hard work in the process. An ideal candidate for a Finance Assistant will have a strong focus on customer service and great attention to detail. Has worked in a similar role. AAT qualified or equivalent (or working towards this). Good knowledge of Excel and Sage 50. Excellent communication skills, confident attitude, well organised and able to work to deadlines.
