Job Description

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00, Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
  • 39 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR - KEY DUTIES:

  • Prepare detailed quotations, including availability, price and delivery forecast effectively and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and requirements.
  • Follow up customer sales quotations by taking actions to convert to customer sales
  • Stock awareness – select stock in adherence to First in First out (FIFO) principles whenever practicable
  • Providing Customer liaison, advise of dispatch dates / order delays ensuring customers are advised of any change to lead time and offer alternatives where appropriate
  • Providing Account liaison, with regard to customer account status
  • Liaise with other departments, Sales, Procurement, Logistics and Production to maximize the customer experience
  • RMA’s – Arrange and progress returns including “sharp sense” in liaison with warehouse and accounts personnel. Create replacement orders where appropriate
  • Invoice queries - handle customer enquiries on charges
  • Providing office support for the external team
  • Sales Orders / Quotations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in a customer service environment. Minimum 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, including Math and English (or equivalent). Ability to competently use IT systems including Microsoft Word & Excel at intermediate level or above. Good verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail. Ability to priorities workload. Previous working knowledge of the Manufacturing or Flooring sector is desirable. Education: GCSE or equivalent (Preferred). Experience: Customer service: 2 years (Preferred).
