Working as part of a flexible and busy team of technicians spread across multiple buildings, the role will involve providing technical support to final year BSc and Masters Projects, across Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician with relevant experience, ideally with some experience in a higher education environment.
You will manage and maintain a suite of labs, ensuring they are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness & organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment in the labs are maintained and enable project students to undertake their work, from simple equipment (such as balances) to high spec instrumentation (such as flash chromatography).
You will also be expected to be flexible and support colleagues and students in other areas of the School of Science and Technology, as part of a School-wide technical team.
