Job Description

As Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing collections across a portfolio of customers, building relationships both internally and externally to maximize cash. You will work together with your finance colleagues to embed new processes, with a continuous improvement mindset to improve ways of working across the team and drive key KPIs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage collections to achieve team goals and ensure that company risk is kept to a minimum.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in order to maximize collections.
  • Identify and manage risk on the ledger, taking responsibility for the prompt escalation of developing issues and securing action.
  • Participate in debt review meetings with sales teams and finance.
  • Maintain a tidy and up to date ledger, ensuring full notes on accounts and housekeeping up to date.
  • Investigate and resolve incoming queries, with the ability to influence and eliminate problems at source.
  • Support with billing as required, ensuring that invoicing is completed on time and accurately with relevant control checks in place.
  • Champion best practice, working with team colleagues to review ways of working with a view to driving efficiencies and improving key measures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working in Credit Control in an organization with a continuous improvement mindset. Good knowledge of Excel and experience of working with an ERP system (Dynamics 365 beneficial). Good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to influence others to achieve results. Be a true team player, yet self-motivated. Ability to priorities workload.
