We are looking to recruit a full time Practice Accountant with a minimum of two years post qualification experience working in an accountancy practice (ACCA /ACA Qualified).We expect you to carry out the day to day activities necessary to maintain highly efficient, flexible and responsive accounting service, creating and implementing a strategy to achieve the clients goals. You will be highly efficient, flexible & ensure work meets our high service standards. Key Features
Provide a core service of preparing: Financial Statements, Corporation, Partnership, Individual, Trust & Estate Tax Returns, Management Accounts and Cash flow Forecasting.
Maintain all required documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
Ensure and review adequate financial controls are in place and are adhered to.
Developing and implementing a strategy to achieve the clients goals using the services provided by Chesterton House Accounting Services and utilize knowledge of Tax Planning, Accountancy Practices and the client’s situation.
Assisting the Financial Planning & Legal team on Tax Planning and Accountancy Service matters.
Developing and growing our ideal client bank, and growing referrals to other departments in Chesterton House where necessary.
Following and improving company processes and procedures, and ensuring all work produced meets our high service standards, along with conforming to regulation, accepted accounting principles and ethics.
Responsibilities and knowledge
To have knowledge of the regulatory compliance environment
To hold meetings with clients to identify their goals and targets, developing a strategy to meet clients goals/ targets using systematic thinking and global accounting knowledge
To develop a good working relationship with the clients
To assist others in the bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Payroll Runs for our clients
To Prepare Management Accounts
To Prepare Financial Statements
To Prepare Sole Trader & Property Accounts
To Prepare Individual, Partnership and Corporation Tax Returns
To keep an Audit Trail of all transactions undertaken
To support and direct the Trainee Accountants/ Accounts Administrators
To complete and maintain accurate and comprehensive records for each accounting service client
Maintain all required documentation in compliance with legal requirements
To maintain strict confidentiality at all times, in relation to clients & company documentation
To deliver excellent, clear, appropriate and concise communication skills at all levels with Clients, Colleagues and external contacts
To ensure the company processes are used at all times, identify and report any gaps or inefficiencies which may be relevant
Delivering quality of work in line with the competencies set out for the role
