Job Description

Support the Head of Quality & iMS in maintaining the company iMS, including proactively reviewing iMS processes to reflect changes in business risk, objectives, needs and priorities;

  • Maintain, coordinate and assist in the delivery of an internal HSQE assurance programme in accordance with business requirements
  • Support the business in maintaining (and where required) extending registration to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and other business critical standards
  • Work in partnership with the operational businesses to identify and conduct third party and supplier HSQE assurance audits
  • Provide support, information and advice to Employees on appropriate processes for ensuring compliance with HSQE policies and standards
  • Provide regular reports to the business on overall HSQE assurance and compliance levels, incl. the status of corrective actions and continual improvement activities
  • Analyze trends in HSQE non-compliances, highlighting areas of good practice and preparing information to cascade as appropriate across the business
  • Liaise with and assist operational management in business development activities.
  • Coordinate the interface with relevant external audit and certification bodies
  • Maintain effective systems for the recording and reporting of compliance audit findings, root cause analysis and continual improvement actions.
  • Keep up to date with relevant developments in the field of safety, health, environment and quality management

In addition, you will maintain a positive and productive working relationships with colleagues and be able to deploy resources and delegate tasks to ensure appropriate use of own and colleagues' time. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This is a great opportunity for a Quality Management professional looking for a step up into a managerial role. We would welcome candidates with experience within the quality management within the Construction industry especially those working for principle contractors. Alternatively, any experience of QM in the utilities or rail sectors would also be an advantage. You’ll have extensive audit experience and will have operated as a Lead Auditor on numerous occasions. Membership of a professional HSQE body (e.g., CQI, IEMA, IOSH). IEMA Foundation in Environmental Management (preferred not mandatory). NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred not mandatory). Extensive demonstrable practical knowledge and experience of writing, implementing and auditing externally accredited Management Systems. Extensive demonstrable practical knowledge of document management and collaboration systems (e.g., SharePoint). Detailed understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001,14001 and 45001. Experience of working in a construction and/or maintenance environment and an appreciation of the significant health, safety, quality and environmental risks and opportunities within these sectors. Experience: IMS: 1 year (Preferred).
