Job Description
To support the Payroll Manager to provide the Absolute Works clients with an accurate and efficient payroll service, complying with HMRC regulations and legislation and GDPR. Maintaining and building a good working relationship with clients.
Key responsibilities:
Check electronic starter/leaver/change forms received from clients
Upload weekly/monthly hours
Process weekly/monthly payroll data meeting the agreed timescales and deadlines ensuring all data in payroll is and accurate
Check for errors and make necessary corrections liaising with relevant individuals
Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
Calculate and process SSP/SMP/SPP/SAP
Download and check Tax Codes/Student loans from the Inland Revenue
Check and enter P46/P45 tax forms
Complete benefit forms / Mortgage references
Send reports for approval and ensure approval received prior to BACs payment deadlines
Checking and paying over of voluntary deductions
Liaise with clients and their employees as required in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring that the we keep the client at the forefront and they receive excellent customer service
Deal with any payroll queries timely and accurately as they arise from clients and their employers via telephone, E-mail & post
Run any necessary reports required by HR departments or clients
Any other related ad hoc tasks as required
File relevant documentation either electronically or in paper format in a timely manner and securely
Comply with all data protection and GDPR requirements maintaining confidentiality of employees' pay record
