Finance Assistant

Job Description

Role includes:

Call handling – booking appointments, chasing invoices, calling suppliers.

Maintaining logs – financial and stock control.

Assisting in maintenance, auditing and financial reports.

Learning and development, maintaining a personal development portfolio and subject to regular appraisals.

Taking part in regular team meetings, managers meetings.

Maintaining efficiencies within the practice.

Monitoring inventory and stock control including invoices for multi sites.

Answering calls and queries.

Work closely with the director, managers, finance team and the dental care team.

Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances.

Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance department.

Help oversee and manage individual accounts.

Create, send, and follow up on invoices.

Review and adhere to site budgets.

Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.

Abiding by all legislations and practice policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be IT confident including Excel & Word, and bookkeeping experience essential. Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, customers and senior management. Initiative to continually improve; Good communication skills. 2 references. Education: A-Level or equivalent (Preferred). Experience: Bookkeeping: 2 years (Required). Administration: 2 years (Preferred).
