Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Management Accountant to join a growing business. My client is a leading manufacturing business operating in the food sector where provision of a high level of customer satisfaction is one of their core values. Working as part of a team and reporting to the Financial Controller your duties will be varied and include the following;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts to include journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed asset register/depreciation
• Reconciliation to weekly reporting and explaining variances
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Assist with the production of Board pack
• Production of short term forecast P&L
• On time and accurate reporting of financial results including stock reconciliations, variances to standards and labor variances
• Work with production team to ensure accurate data capturing
• Establish and maintain a weekly cost model to enable various reporting
• Approve purchase ledger payment run
• Preparation of daily production schedules to enable daily variances to standards
• Ad hoc reporting as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a solid all round background in financial and standard costing gained within a manufacturing environment. My client are looking for a team player with experience of liaising with non-finance personnel.
