Job Description

In this role you will be a senior member of the Practice Group Management Team, acting as Finance business partner providing hands on support and guidance to one of the Firm's five practice groups, supporting the firm's strategy and the Group's business plan.

The Business Manager will support the Group Head, Group Management Team and other team leaders with the financial management of the group with a strong focus on profitability. They will:

  • deliver on budgeting, re-forecasting, financial analysis and month end reporting
  • be responsible for the delivery of the monthly financial commentary to the Group’s leadership team
  • review pricing of relevant bids, tenders and client proposals working closely with the Pricing team as required
  • assist with implementation of the firm's strategy and the group business plan
  • Works closely with HR to review recruitment and other resource requests into the Group
  • Ensure that any statutory reports and accounts are prepared and filed on time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Significant experience in a management or operational role in a leading business with a focus on profit Centre accountability
  • Experience of working in a consultancy, business strategy, professional services or managed solutions setting would be an asset
  • Proven experience of building teams and working with varied and cross-functional teams, to include IT, HR, BD and Finance
  • Proven excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience of facilitating change
