Job Description
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of the DDM's results in compliance with group deadlines
  • Manage all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, including account reconciliations, accrual schedules and general journal entries, ensuring that reconciliations are performed accurately and on-time
  • Prepare monthly comprehensive financial analysis and business commentaries with respect to the accounting policies, monitoring and reconciliation activities according to management requirements
  • Evaluate and strengthen existing internal controls, implement new controls in accordance to group guidelines
  • Research and prepare technical accounting memos, ensure all regions understand and execute transactions in accordance to IFRS and group finance guidelines
  • Establish, implement, manage and monitor critical accounting and reporting policies, processes and associated metrics
  • Manage and lead internal and external audits across the practice
  • Manage and support statutory compliance requirements across the practice
  • Oversee and support all tax and transfer pricing matters across the practice
  • Lead and develop the accounting team to ensure consistent financial discipline with group expectations
  • Assist in the annual budget and forecast preparation
  • Assist in the integration of new companies post-merger
  • Assist in ERP implementation
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and project as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • CPA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Masters in business/finance/accounting
  • A minimum 10 years experience in public accounting
  • A minimum of 5-10 years in both private and public company accounting experience
  • IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience required
  • Experience with complex revenue recognition required
  • Multinational advertising industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing internal and external audits
  • Experience driving transformation and efficiencies in controls and accounting systems
  • ERP implementation experience (QuickBooks to NetSuite or similar ERP)
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible for a dynamic and changing environment
